Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be there the whole time for your Declutter service?

Not at all. Many clients find it easiest to let me get a few hours of groundwork done alone, then come back to help make the final calls on what stays and what goes. Whatever works best for you.

How will you know what to throw away in a Declutter?

I won’t. So everything is sorted into piles, and nothing leaves your home (whether it's being sold, donated, or binned) without your say-so first.

What happens to things that don't sell on Vinted?

Nothing goes to waste. Items go to charity, schools, workshops, or my donation network — which finds a home for almost anything, from half-used toiletries to broken electricals. Genuinely unusable items are the only things that go to landfill.

How do you charge for Vinted sales?

It's a simple 50/50 split. I list items on Vinted (my usual go-to), eBay for anything more specialist, or Facebook Marketplace for larger pieces. I keep track of this as I go and every few weeks or months (typically when we get to around £100+) I’ll transfer you your half.

Where are you based?

Travel is completely free within 30 minutes of the GU9 postcode area. Beyond that, travel is typically charged at 50p per mile — though this is always discussed upfront, and I'm often able to tie visits in with other trips further afield, so it's worth just asking.

Do you offer a free consultation?

Yes — a digital (phone/video) consultation is completely free. If you'd prefer me to visit your home in person to give a more accurate idea of time and scope, this is charged at my hourly rate — but if you go ahead and book, that cost is deducted from your session.

Do you offer ongoing maintenance visits?

Yes, and it's often a great idea — especially once I've got to know your home and how you live in it. These are charged at my usual hourly rate.

Are you insured?

Yes, I hold public liability insurance.

Do I need to buy storage products beforehand?

Not necessarily — if you send me photos of your space in advance, I can advise on what might work best. In practice, it's usually best to book a session first, work out how things actually fit, and then buy storage products afterwards — this avoids wasting money on things that don't end up being needed.
